Description:

The Solvent Comparison Tool provides pertinent technical information for Eastman and non-Eastman solvents. By specifying selection criteria, customers can access physical and engineering properties for solvents, compare solvent and resin attributes and obtain a resin solubility chart for various resins. The Solvent Comparison Tool contains resin solubility for many resins and physical and engineering properties for a large number of solvents. A range of criteria is offered in searching for solvents. The results can be easily printed if so desired.

At the top of each page, you will find a series of links that will take you to one of the major sections available in the Solvent Comparison Tool. For a brief explanation of these sections, click on one of the following links.

Solvents - This section enables the user to produce a "Solvents Report" based on specific selection criteria. By clicking the appropriate series of radio button(s), the user can narrow or broaden the list of solvents that appear on the report. The user has the ability to sort the report by Solvent Name, Evaporation Rate or Flash Point.

Properties - This section enables the user to view all properties for a particular solvent or to view all solvents for a particular property by selecting one of the options in the appropriate drop-down lists.

Resin Solubility - This section enables the user to produce a "Resin Solubility Report" for all solvents based on the resin selected from a drop-down list. The user has the ability sort the report by Solvent Name, Viscosity or Evaporation Rate.

Solvent Compare - This section enables the user to produce a "Solvents Comparison Report" listing all properties for up to three different solvents.

Resin Compare - This section enables the user to produce a "Resins Comparison Report" listing all solvents for up to three different resins.

Search - This section enables the user to search for solvents based on a selected property and a given range of values or an exact value. The user can also view all properties for a particular solvent by searching with a known CAS number.

Help - This section provides general information of terms used in this application, further explanation of properties, and other areas of interest such as; a listing of Resin Suppliers and a Coatings Dictionary.

Notes:

For best results when printing in Portrait mode, set the left and right print margins for your browser as low as possible (IE - 0.25; Netscape - 0.00). This is accomplished through the File/Page Setup menu selection.

This wizard was designed to work with display settings of 1024 x 7680 DPI or larger and normal sized fonts (96 DPI). If you experience display problems, ensure these settings are correct by right-clicking on your desktop and choosing "Properties". When the "Display Properties" window appears, click on the "Settings" tab to check the "Screen or Desktop Area" setting (should be 1024 x 768 or larger). After that, click on the "Advanced" button (for Windows 2000 only) to check the "Font Size" setting (should be "Small Fonts").
If this doesn't fix your problem, try reducing the default font size you have chosen for your particular browser.
